[Tclplugin-core] has anyone the modifications for tclplugin to work with tcl/tk 8.4 ?

When I try to configure tclplugin for tcl/tk 8.4 it indicates that I have
to use tcl/tk 8.3.1 - a pretty ancient version of tcl/tk .

Has anyone made an attempt to figure out what needs to change to get
the plugin to build with the tcl/tk 8.4 source code?
