There is one small issue that needs correction in 8.5 before it is 
plugin ready (removal of an odd nag dialog that is meant to make things 
more "secure" but is pointless in context of the plugin).

As to OS X, it is possible that the previous sources may have adapted 
for webkit.  However, I was never able to find the time to do this.  If 
you are interested, I would be glad to assist from a technical 
perspective on the plugin architecture.  I don't know anything about how 
webkit plugins work.
