If the ico package has all the same functionality of the bmp package, then I don't see a need to add bmp. On the other hand, ico is in the tklib set, which, I presume, means it requires Tk. The bmp package doesn't _seem_ to require Tk, from what I can tell. A second thing, sort of unrelated, that the TCT as well as every other Tcl developer needs to keep in mind is the Microsoft lawsuit, filed in the past week, against open source developers who make use of technology for which Microsoft has patents.
