Folks,

I've added a new appender type (fileAppend) to the logger appenders.
The diff is avaliable at:

Summary of changes:

* changes to man pages
* new appender fileAppend
* fixes to createLogProc to allow channel selection
* tests

example of usage:

logger::utils::applyAppender \
 =09    -appender fileAppend -appenderArgs {-outputChannel stderr}

In this example the output channel is stderr, but it could as easily
be a file chanel.
