If anyone knows how to contact his family please let me know.

FYI, I was emailing with Miguel not that long ago about crediting him
with some work he did in the Little language (byte code work, deep
dive).   He said:

"I'm ok. Hospital. Congrats. More later"

and I took to mean that he was OK.  Stupid me, he was saying he was OK
with the credits to him but he was in the hospital.  I completely 
misread it and I feel like a jerk.  That was April 21st so he had
been fighting whatever it was for months.

Again, if anyone has contact info for his family I'd like to pay my
respect and regret.
