Ok, archives for the release _candidate_ 1 are now available at

Anybody reading this and having time, please run the testsuite on your
system.

I currently have run the testsuite on a linux/64 system, against the
heads of the major Tcl/Tk core branches using wish. In detail

The only issue seen so far are problems in the testsuite of oometa.
It is unknown at the moment if the issue is in the specific testsuite,
or the specific package getting tested.

Current plan is to make this release final upcoming Friday, Jan 29.
