    Well it seems TCLAP is at a dead point today. That's doesn't mean it's a bad library, far from it. But there are some feature/merge requests and I am willing to manage them.
    I'm creating a Github Organization and forking the project. Github means (unfortunately ^^) more and easier contributions (Sourceforge is a pain in the *** for project management).
    If you (the original authors) are okay with that, that'd be great to
    be part of this organization
    point the current Sourceforge project to Github
    * … ? (it's your own project after all)
    I'm forking it anyways so… ;)

      Hi Salamandar,

      I've definitely thought about moving to Github and would be happy to do so,
      but I just don't have the time at the moment to make the change. I'd also
      be happy to consider adding you to the "organization."

      I'll respond to your patch request tonight.

      thanks,
      Mike

      Yes, we're not doing much active development these days since the library meets most of the needs it was set out to do. There's always room for improvement of course, but as Mike points out we're both very busy with our day jobs.

      I would not mind to move the development to github, but don't feel strongly about it and definetely don't have the time to do it. I think it's better to move it than to fork it though. Of course that only makes sense (IMO) if there will be some amount of active development going forward.

    Hi Salamandar,

    It would appear that you've already registered the organization name TCLAP on github (https://github.com/TCLAP) and have begun adding issues and have begun a fork. I'd like to request that you either turn over control of the TCLAP organization on github to Daniel and I or rename the organization to something else. We very much do NOT want the appearance of two different, "official" versions of TCLAP existing in the world. To be clear, I'm completely OK if you fork TCLAP - that's what open source is all about - but please don't use the name TCLAP for your fork. I hope this is OK with you. Again, I'm happy to see that you're excited about TCLAP and am interested to see what progress you make with a fork, but we'd still like to keep "official" TCLAP in one place on Sourceforge for now.

    thanks,
    Mike
