I don't know exactly where to put my suggestion so I start here:
If you develop an embedded version of a MacOSX TclTk for a standalone
application and if you want to integrate the Itcl package then it is
necessary to change the pkgIndex.tcl file in the folder Itcl3.4 like the
Linux teacup version does:
# Tcl package index file, version 1.0
set ::env(ITCL_LIBRARY) $dir
package ifneeded Itcl 3.4 [list load [file join $dir "libitcl3.4.dylib"]
Otherwise, if you have set the variable auto_path to your application's Itcl
folder then the command package require Itcl will result in an error
complaining that there is no itcl.tcl in the known lib pathes.
