Sorry for the simple question, but I cannot seem to be able to invoke
the 'package require' command correctly, specifically
'package require Iwidgets'. I have the latest 'Batteries Included'
distribution installed, and I know it's there, but the response from
Wish is simply that the package cannot be found.
I'm sure that this is a simple question, so my apologies for wasting
the bandwidth. Angel

Several problems are possible when seeing the package cannot be
1. The package really is not there.
2. The package require statement is wrong - the two most common
problems here are the wrong name (forgettin to capitalize
something or to use lowercase instead of capitals) or the
wrong version (in cases where a version is wrong)
3. If the package being sought was installed seperately, then
there is a possibility that either the directory into
which it was installed isn't being seen, permissions are
wrong, or the pkgIndex.tcl file has the wrong permissions
or is missing.
4. Someone has set an environment variable that should not be set
with the tcl interpreter that is being used.
I don't know if any of these are relevant...
