Sure -map is a subtle feature, but it is also one that feedback from other people indicates is very valuable. It's also a major distinguishing feature when compared with Itcl ensembles (if I've not grabbed the wrong end of the stick.) If 112 passes, I'll have to make a C API to its facilities the subject of a future followup TIP. This is not a problem.
