Now that 8.4 has hit beta, I do believe that more people are poking on it, and less bugs are being uncovered. This looks good for the overall timeline of 8.4.0, which is as follows: 8.4b2, week of August 5th (next week). 8.4.0, week of September 2nd. Consider the code freeze to be the Monday of those weeks. Those who feel there are notable bugs that should be fixed before final should: a) make sure the bug is at SF: http://tcl.sourceforge.net/ b) make sure the priority is high c) make sure it is assigned to someone I would like to put internal feature changes on ice following the 8.4b2 release. This includes optimizations to the byte compiler, twiddling around with VFS internals and the like, apart from bug fixes or reviewed changes.
