(It's authored by `mark987`, don't know if that's you) Comparing that with the commit history of that repo, a large part of it might already be merged (quite recently)? To really be up to date, I'd have to be also following the Git mailing list, which I haven't. There is also <https://github.com/j6t/git-gui/pull/15>. `git-gui` is very commonly packaged together with `gitk`. But the real question in my mind is when various packagers will package `gitk` with a dependency on Tk 9 as opposed to Tk 8, since most people don't use `gitk` directly from the repo.
