This actually does happen, and it is costly. Choosing not to do that is by no means a fool's errand. Choosing to do that is to not follow your advice "fix your code and move on". I am sure that Ashok was worried about the course this discussion would follow, and I assume that is why he began with the preface "Without getting into a tabs vs spaces war ...". Maybe we can just agree not to make commits like that any more. - Marc |
