thanks! I have tested it already. It had no influence on GDI, what was 
explained by Ashok.
The long awaited "encoding user" command is effective and will allow to 
be compatible with 8.6 by:
	source -encoding [encoding user] $file
what is a big step forward.
I think, the removal of utf-8 from the certificate is a good thing.
This should also happen for "wish" which may be explicitly stated in the 
TIP.
