Then you are asking for dbus to come under TIP control if it is part of the *nix source tree.   Is that desirable or would it be better to stay maintained by Schelte as part of packages.

This is the whole point of my original mail. When people say “in the core” what exactly do they mean?  The subsequent follow up emails haven’t shed any light on that.
