I don’t see any reason to get rid of the feather.

I always assumed the feather was a quill, and carried a connotation of “scribe” because it was a “scripting” language. The “tickle”/”feather” association is utterly new to me, I don’t think I have encountered it before and I have been using TCL since the earliest days.
