Sorry, stupid mistake: the patch file enclosed on friday's message won't even compile! So, again, disregard my last message. I am enclosing a corrected patch with this, only in case you might be curious ... This one does compile and pass the tests. The performance difference being so small, I think it is quite understndable if you chose to diregard the whole thing anyway. As I said, I believe the main difference may be to the programmer who wants to touch TclExecuteByteCode rather than in the program itself. The next one will be either much much better, or else non-existent; I fear I may be becoming a candidate for no-spam lists. Greetings Miguel |
