Two issues I've noticed: (1) No matter what -filetypes codes I give 'tk_getOpenFile' it won't let me select an application (e.g. the "Preview" application). (2) 'parray env' gives: () 2 % parray env env(HOME) = /Users/vince env(PATH) = /usr/bin:/bin:/Users/vince env(SHELL) = /bin/tcsh env(USER) = vince env(__CF_USER_TEXT_ENCODING) = 0x1F5:0:0 And env(PATH) is wrong. I've installed teTeX and my path in the terminal reads as follows: PATH=/Users/vince/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin:/Users/vince/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current I noticed that 'tclsh8.3' on the command line does pick up the correct path. Can anyone explain this discrepancy? Do graphical applications launched in macosx have a different notion of 'env' to command-line apps? -- Vince <http://www.santafe.edu/~vince> |
