If you are familar with tclkit, then you probably also know about Kitten. Kitten is a kit of numerous Tcl/Tk extensions - some script, some compiled - that Jean-Claude Wippler has built as an 'add on' library for Tclkit. With relatively little pain, one can get your Tclkit to recognize their presence and extend the functionality of your tclkit. I was wondering this morning if anyone had considered either extending Kitten, or creating our own 'pet' (perhaps it would be called Muffy - Mac Utility For Fun on Your own ... or some better name...). I am not certain what all extensions are available for the Mac - I know there is QuickTimeTcl and I suspect there are some others as well. The one I was hoping to find was something to tie in the Mac's Text to speech facilities to Tcl - so that tkchat could be extended from just supporting the Linux festival interface to supporting Macs as well. -- Support Internet Radio <URL: http://saveinternetradio.org/ > Larry W.
