Hi all, I'd like to raise my hand and volunteer to be a co-maintainer for Tcl/Tk on the Mac, with a special emphasis on Tk. As many of you know, I've authored several extension packages to enhance Tk's platform integration on OS X (most relevant code is at http://tk-components.sourceforge.net), and I've also been doing bug fixing on an unofficial basis since the start of this year (I've just gotten commit access at http://core.tcl.tk and have figured out the basics of Fossil.) Daniel Steffen's employment at Apple has left him little time for maintainer work on Tk, and I think it's important that there be at least one designated person who can look at bugs on a semi-regular basis. I'm willing to be that person. My expertise doesn't come within 100 miles of Daniel's, who single-handledly authored the Cocoa port of Tk, but I've developed enough competence for bug fixing and package authoring. Let me know if you need any other information or have questions. Thank you, Kevin -- Kevin Walzer Code by Kevin http://www.codebykevin.com |
