I vaguely recall that; and Snit does indeed support autonaming of
widgets using the %AUTO% syntax, e.g., [label $win.%AUTO%].  I
don't recall ever looking at the syntax shown in the TIP, though;
and using a single "%" character as the string to be replaced
strikes me as asking for trouble.
