[MACTCL] tk_getOpenFile inside standalone

In a .tcl file inside a standalone I want an open file dialog to read 
other files inside that standalone.
tk_getOpenFile does not work for that. I have built a very crude dialog 
( based on glob) which does
a minimal job.

My questions:
1. Has somebody written a substitute for tk_getOpenFile (with all the 
features of tk_getOpenFile) to
get at files inside the SAME standalone?
2. What about something to allow a file in standalone X to get at files 
instead standalone Y?
