We are pleased to announce the first public release of TaxGeek07. It is late in coming, but
(we feel), significantly better than last year's product with more testing, the introduction
of form overrides for calculated fields, and several more forms that are supported. Please
visit our downloads page to obtain a copy.

TaxGeek is a Mozilla-based US income tax program that includes Form 1040, Schedules A, B, C, C-EZ, D, E, K-1 (1065), R, and many other forms (see list below). Most of the forms that are not directly supported are included as context-sensitive links to PDFs on the IRS website. TaxGeek will do many of the calculations required in filing your income tax and print the results to PDF format. E-Filing is not supported at this time. It can use tax-tables, tax-formula, and the qualified dividends and capital gains methods. It has many of the supporting worksheets for 1040
implemented and working and many of the supporting worksheets for schedules and forms that are supported.... read more

Version 06e is the final pre-April 17 release we plan. It has benefited greatly from community support and debugging. TaxGeek is an Open Source, Mozilla-based, form-oriented U.S. Federal income tax software application. It includes all major schedules and access to 95% of Form 1040 worksheets. Additionally, it is capable of printing information to PDFs. TaxGeek is the first easily extensible tax software as it enables anyone with basic html or scripting experience to add forms through its developer kit.
