#44 Wrong Synoptic selection?

When i select an object from the synoptic. Other object which use are same device name (but not the same attribute) are also selected.

On the screenshot bellow, i only select the box "BPM3", and objects with the text are not selectable with the mouse.

Is that a normal behaviour? I guess only the clicked object should be selected. If it is the expected behaviour, maybe i can provide a patch.

Hi Valentin, Carlos,

I think that you observed that selection on an object is selecting all 
objects that belong to a same device server.

This behavior is useful in our facility to identify all elements that 
belong to a single controller; if you modify the behavior with a patch 
we would like to have a property to choose between single or multiple 
selection.

This month I'll have to work on the Synoptic widgets to implement the
new Taurus filters, as I'll be "opening the box" I can also add a new
ExtendedSelection boolean property to control whether selection should
select all device elements or not.
