font looks terible - java Anti-aliasing problem on Linux

Can you tell me how to get good looking font on Linux (Ubuntu). I guess it is java problem with anti-aliasing.

Update:
I installed java 8 following this
http://www.webupd8.org/2013/06/install-openjdk-patched-with-font-fixes.html
and chose gtk+ motiv.
The effect is quite good

but I still don't like the look of fonts on the left panel. They are to thin. I'd like them to be the same as other fonts: in tabs or in menu.
Is there a way to set this, perhaps in some configuration file?
