Quick Add Task dialog doesn't open as active window

When I am in another application and then use the global hotkey (Shift-Ctrl-T) the Quick add task dialog opens, but it doesn't open as an active window. So I actually have to mouse over and click on it before I can start entering the new task.
If TaskUnifier window is already open then the dialog does open as active, but that is kind of missing the point (I want to quickly add tasks when I am in other apps).
This has happened since first install (4.1) and is still happening on 4.2. I'm on OSX 10.9.2.
Is anyone else seeing this (especially on a Mac)? Thx.

Same here - focus works on Windows, but not on OSX.
