Linux users: DO NOT update your Java components!

Yesterday, I updated my Linumx mint 17.3 and amongst those updates, something did something to my taskunifier that was working perfectly until then.
I suspect it is the java environment. I am backing up my system now and will roll back to the previous versions. Ensure not to allow Java to update automatically guys...

I can start task unifier but then it freezes. Cannot do anything.

Here are the versions of Java I suspect are problematic, from my /var/log/apt

    openjdk-7-jre-headless:amd64 (7u95-2.6.4-0ubuntu0.14.04.2)
    openjdk-7-jre-lib:amd64 (7u95-2.6.4-0ubuntu0.14.04.2, 7u101-2.6.6-0ubuntu0.14.04.1)
    openjdk-7-jre:amd64 (7u95-2.6.4-0ubuntu0.14.04.2, 7u101-2.6.6-0ubuntu0.14.04.1)
    icedtea-7-jre-jamvm:amd64 (7u95-2.6.4-0ubuntu0.14.04.2, 7u101-2.6.6-0ubuntu0.14.04.1)

I will report back when I get it back up and running.
I think we will have to think to run taskunifier in a virtual machine in the future if we want our systems to be safe.
