Reporting Bugs

To report bugs:

1. Go to the bug report page at Sourceforge via any of these options:

   • direct link: http://sourceforge.net/p/taskcoach/bugs
   • there is a link at the Task Coach website
   • In Task Coach, go to Help > Report a bug…

2. Log in / Join Sourceforge

   • Unfortunately, the OPENID login is not working currently for creating tickets, so you must make a full Sourceforge account

3. To add a bug, click "Create Ticket" on the left side of the page

   • Notice the instructions there which request that you include files, information about your system etc.
   • The more clarity you offer, the more helpful it is. As long as you are sure the team can understand and replicate the bug, it is fine.

4. Reply to any comments that may be added such as asking for clarity or to try things to resolve the situation

NOTE: "Bugs" include everything from real computer glitches to things not working as they should because of design issues. However, elements that are improvements to the overall design which change or add features are considered "Feature Requests"
