Hello.
Thanks for releasing 1.4.4.
Some ideas from the Debian packaging may be of interest for you.

The "raw" source archive contains precompiled python bytecode, and more generally lots of generated files like the extracted thirdparty modules. This is probably unwanted.

The current Debian patches are visible at
https://sources.debian.org/src/taskcoach/latest/debian/patches/
These ones may be of interest to avoid duplicate work upstream:
appdata_xml.diff
reproducible_build.diff,
twisted-version-compare.diff
wxpy3.0-compat.patch (except maybe the last bit)
