Hi,
Since i upgraded to MAC OS X 10.9.1, the reaction time when clicking on buttons of TaskCoach (for example start/stop an effort) is slow, like 6-7 seconds. In addition, i notice after having started/stopped an effort, the fan of my computer starts, TaskCoach is using around 67% of CPU. What can i do to have normal reaction time when clicking the buttons? It was not super fast before (has i had previous version of MAC), but now it's annoying.

Thanks for help!

Did you enable "Make clock in the taskbar tick when tracking effort" in the "Windows behavior" preference page ?

Salut Jérome, thank you for fast reply!

Yes, this function is activated in my preferences and it is usefull to me. This was not causing problem with previous versions of TaskCoach and under OS X 10.7...

I disabled the preference "Make clock in the taskbar tick when tracking effort" in the "Windows behavior" preference page, and it totally solved both issues: the reaction time when for example starting an effort, is back to the usual 3 seconds, and the CPU used by TaskCoach while effort got back to near 0%. That's the most important.

And for the icon in the Dock, i taught this preference was to see the clock at all, but no it's just for the animation, haha, that's not important. Whitout this preference, the pad image still changes for the clock image if an effort is ongoing. That's all i need.

    Merci!!

P.S. damned Maverick, damned all apple products...

I'll completely disable this on Mavericks, definitely not worth it.
