Task Coach running on linux (Kubuntu 64-bit, Python 2.7.1), Task Coach running on iphone (iOS5.0.1). Select sync, select linux computer, immediate segfault. On iphone it says "Protocol negotiation..." in the background with an error dialog "The connection was unexpectedly closed." with only one option, abort. On linux get the following to the console:
$ taskcoach.py

(python:12902): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_connect_data: assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

Syncing works for me on the latest version. Sorry nobody replied to your report initially. Could you please try the latest version and tell us if you are still having any trouble? Thanks
Hi, it's many years later, and iOS development of Task Coach is fully closed down. No plans to bring it back, but who knows…
Meanwhile, I'm excited to tell you that https://github.com/taskcoach/taskcoach now has updated Python3 Task Coach codebase! Packages are available for some common Linux systems and we can add more and eventually make packaging for Windows and MacOS potentially.
If you are do anything with Linux, you are invited to check out the update.
Meanwhile, cleaning up and closing these old tickets…
Cheers
