It is hooking, but it will not start recording even though it gives all indications of working properly. I can press the record button but it simply does nothing.

If you have anti-aliasing on the game you are trying to capture, turn it off. I found out that the code in Taksi doesn't handle AA at all.
You are correct. I turned Antialiasing off and Taksi works again.
It stopped working in February because of that and that really, really ruined it for me. Until now.
