THe most recent release will not run on OS 10.2.1.2228 (SW release 10.2.1.2156), nor will it run on OS Version 10.2.1.2947. (I tried both).
I have tried removing and re-installing the app.
The app does install, but when run, it essentially (crashes) after the splash screen, returning the user to the hub.

ISSUE FOUND: Taki requests shared files access. In previous versions, Taki would run WITHOUT shared file access. In this most recent release, it will not run without it. I'm not sure why a voip application needs to access my files. Can you please remove this access? Taki should not require file access.

Thank you for reporting and sharing the solution for this issue.
I've uploaded a new Taki release which will fix this issue for the cases
when "Shared" folder permission is not granted. It should be available
in BlackBerry world in the nearest days.
Shared folder permission is required in the following cases:
When you record calls. Audio files are stored at
shared/voice/callrecording. They are standard WAV files. It gives you a
possibility to access recording from other apps (e.g. music player) and
download them to your computer.
shared/voice is also used by some other standard apps to store the
recordings.
when in Support window you are emailing application log.
In this case Email app should have access to a log file. The only place
where email and Taki apps both have access is a shared folder.
In the next release I'm going to address this issue and store recording
in Taki app folder for the case when shared folder is not writable.
More information for you... it appears that I CAN run the app without shared folder permissions, but I had to first run the app WITH permissions (after upgrading), and then remove the permissions while the app is running. I can now shut down the app and restart without shared folder permissions. I hope this helps. This is an excellent app. Thanks!

Thanks for providing these details.
It happens because when you first grant app permissions it's able to
create file in "shared" with its ownership. And on a next run even the
access to shared folder is blocked the file still has correct
permissions for Taki to open it.
