small changes to address compiler warnings

Continued work on tangent modulus. Not ready yet

merging changes from BRANCH_paklein_2. The tag before this merge is
PRE_MERGE_paklein_2. The changes include:
(1) conintuum materials can now access 99% of their information from
MaterialSupportT and sub-classes. Some information is not available
at this interface, so materials can still get access to the host
element. Materials that do not access information outside the
MaterialSupportT interface can now be used outside of Tahoe.
(2) tried to remove all unneeded references to the element classes from
the materials code.

information whenever possible. All seem to run, except material 50.
