Hi all, i just recently found the taglog project on sf and due to it being Tcl/Tk and me looking for a time tracking tool, i gave it a try. I'm quite impressed by the functionality and would like to use it for daily time logging, but I'm a bit disappointed by the apparent lack of finess in the GUI. The GUI looks like it could need a serious facelift, basically some adjustments of widgets so entrys get aligned, some options changes and maybe some of the eye candy from either the tile extension or the style package in tklib (see http://tcllib.sourceforge.net/). Does the taglog project target a specific Tcl/Tk release, and if it is not 8.4.x why is that the case? Did you consider the smtp/mime packages from the tcllib for use instead of your home grown smtp setup? I noticed that the de.msg file seems to be incomplete, as parts of the UI are localized and others stay non localized. Did you use a tool like msgcat-x http://mimersbrunn.sourceforge.net/ to extract the message catalogs automatically? Michael Schlenker |
