How do I do a "Save and Restore" for the pm.intermediate_cache_dir setting,
so that it is local in scope wrt to the pmfile, or even the object being
built?  Do I set this within the cfile description?  Should
intermediate_cache_dir be a property of cfiles? I'm assuming the the
instance of pm is global and not on a per pmfile basis.  This, of course,
brings up a question I've had regarding threaded builds, equivalent to make
-Jn where n is the number of threads (which also invokes stuff like .WAIT
and the like).
