His version and mine both branch of the original 5.5 ACK release at the sam=
e=20
place. His version is considerably simplified, however: it has a vastly=20
simplified build system, and only has support for the i386 and i86 back-end=
s.=20
It's really only intended to build on Minix 3.

Michael Kennett has fixed a bunch of bugs, and as soon as I have the new bu=

system up and running on my version I need to copy over his changes.

No, it's not a FAQ (we don't have one yet). Really, Michael and my versions=

are intended to do different things. It would be nice at some stage in the=
=20
future to be able to merge them together, but I'm realistic enough to reali=
se=20
that that might never happen! Currently, Michael's ACK is the standard=20
compiler toolchain used by Minix 3, so he has more definite requirements fo=
r=20
having something working than I do.
