I can see a potential in that new, improved P2 Edge module. It's not what I need or want but certainly of use to many and a handsome module but when I see something like that citation below, I fret.
How can that be there is no mention of one of the most attractive features of that P2 chip while the forth heart in it just screams to beat ?
From the feature set description of the P2-EC rev C module at Parallax site under Applications:
    "...
Educational tool for parallel processing and coding in different languages (Python, C, BASIC, Spin2/PASM)"

I spend hours with the marketing people each month and they do all they can to bring up even the smallest details I often consider unimportant but they feel that could help them sell a product but hey, what is this ?

It's like having a V12 engine in a car where it matters and not even mentioning it. Weird.

Yes, I don't understand their mentality. It seems to be that they go to a lot of effort not to acknowledge not only TAQOZ and Forth, but also all the many many things that have been achieved with it on the P1 and P2.

By way of contrast I just had a client chase me up again about a project they asked me to do and to cut a long story short, the subject of programming environment came up since they want to be able to change the software via an Arduino IDE. Well, they are the customer and who am I to argue about that however I did say that I would prototype it and get it functional first, and that meant I would use the Forth since I can interact and debug hardware and software both at the same time etc. Forth is great for prototyping, and it's great for development.

Forth! he says over the phone! So I quickly said "It's ok, I understand, I can recode later but this is what I use to get new hardware up and it's what I use in all my industrial products too etc.

No no, he says, there are two people here who know Forth. I used LMI Forth successfully for many years to cross-compile to 68HC11s and other stuff, and you know Forth.

    I grinned......

That means good news for you and delays for the other projects you do but It's perfectly fine. One needs to pay the bills first and feed ones family and everything else comes second at most. That's my problem too. But this also means even more Forth experience on your side so other, now delayed projects, can potentially see a boost once you finish that commercial piece. So everybody wins but in a different time slots.

BTW, is that assignment interesting ? I'm not asking how long it will take because with forth it's possible answering that question might take you longer that the job itself :).
