Welcome to Open Discussion
This is a nice plug-in.
However, sometimes its conversion is incorrect.
For example, sometimes it converts leading tab into only 2 spaces.
I use npp 5.6.7 unicode.
can you get me a sample file that doesn't work? my test cases all worked.
[tab]2.3[tab]MySQL boottime startup
i'm still unable to recreate your problem. i'm guessing it's a character set or encoding issue. what's your character set and encoding?
which line goofs up? if it's 2., can you get me the line right before the first line?
what's your tab setting set to?
i'm using the same version: 5.6.7 unicode
thanks for helping figure out the bug.
[space][space]2.3[space]MySQL boottime startup
character set and encoding: I am not sure what this is. I am using XP English
the line right before the first line: Post 4 is the whole file. No other lines.
thanks for helping figure out the bug!
on the encoding menu item, there is a list of character encoding options. what do you have selected?
on the view menu, there is show symbols->show all characters and show wrap symbol. turn those both one. what do you see? for me, i see (cr)(lf) at the end of each line.
1.encode in ANSI
well, the only thing i can think of now is to get me a copy of your file. submit a support request and attach the file to the request.
thanks for the extra effort in trying to figure out this bug.
I don't how to use support request.
I put the file here: http://rapidshare.com/files/374835607/tab_test.txt.html
Thanks for your help.
i see the problem now. i only see line-feed characters, no carriage returns.
did you type this file in notepad++ or another editor?
i'll look into fixing the problem.
to submit a support request, use the support option on the tabs to spaces page. the link is at the top of this page. this is actually the preferred method for support since a trackable issue is then created.
happy to hear that.
the file is from my colleague.
thanks for your effort.
the bug has been fixed. give 1.1 a try.
1.1 works fine.
Thanks for your effort.
