it would be nice to add this effect to more situations, for example when switching to a new page, roll it in with the cube effect vertically (another axis to avoid confusion with switching tabs)
also, when closing a tab, the cube should move in the direction of the next tab, rather then just to the left.
finally, to take the browsing experience to a new level, a grab-and-drag system would be nice, where an empty area of a page could be grabbed and dragged to the left or the right to switch to a new tab. However this seems very hard, and so i realise it isn't very likely.
i believe the option to vary animation speed has already been covered, another option to change the background colour from the default black would also be appreciated.

Hi, I've seen a Mac browser called Shiira. It has a nice transition effect. This could be very cool. Using DirectX 9 I suppose.
