I tried a bit of looping yesterday evening - not totally horrible, but not totally nice either. The problem is the decay - if you look at the wave forms, there is a lot of up and down, so a clean loop is difficult to place. On the sitar, there is just down, so you inevitably loop back to a louder part. It's quite different from the melodica, where the wave form presents itself as a nice clean rectangle. Affaire à suivre !
