Yup, Guillaume, I was going to ask if you wanted aiff format for the final versions - I'm pretty sure there's something on this machine that will do that. As for looping, I haven't added any. Most of the samples are over 2 seconds long, and that should be enough for most things. I'll have a go (except with the sitar, for obvious reasons) if you like. I'll keep working on the sarangi - I think I basically need a good open C on the main playing string, but it is a horribly temperamental thing. The quality of the G string is so different that if the lehra goes below open C, the result is disturbing rather than helpful, and I'd prefer not to talk about the noise the bottom C string normally makes. I'll also try it over a drone. I'm not sure I'll be setting up the recording kit again before the end of next week, though. I noticed that you've got a full arpeggio CEGC for your samples - is this necessary, or will your programme adapt to fewer (or different) notes? For example the flutes are DF#AD, and the sheng AEC#A, and as I've said, getting four good samples out of the sarangi in one sitting is not proving easy!
