I've just uploaded a test recording using the Madhuvanti lehra so you can 
give me comments and suggestions before I send the straight samples.

The order is

1) Chinese Tung Xiao (Shakuhachi-style) cardioid ORTF (forgot to press 
record for the omni ;-(  )
2) Sitar omni
3) Chinese Tung Xiao (plain style) omni
4) Sarangi cardioid ORTF (omni was horrible and I didn't have time to 
improve)
5) Chinese Sheng omni

I can hear a bit of traffic on the sitar, and the sarangi is "best so far" - 
it's a bit squeaky, but then they are, aren't they.  No added reverb has 
been applied.  The samples were stereo, but when I turned them into 
soundfonts, they looked mono.  The output from Timidity is stereo, but it 
looks as if there is simply a bit of L/R delay.

Don't bother trying to recreate samples, as once things are neater I'll 
upload them anyway.  If I have time, I'll try and produce something with 
pitchbends/meends in the next few days.
