#79 Java Documentation

Hello
You indicate in the documentation that the Java API is "mostly similar to the C/C++ API." But the C/C++ API is really just a C-style API because there are functions that are external to any classes. Java doesn't allow this. So there isn't enough Java documentation for anyone to be able to use the Java API! What class do we have to instantiate in order to get access to the Java functions?
Can someone please put up at least a slight bit more Java documentation so that the java library is usable?
