[Systray-devel] Problem with systray4j at shutdown

We've encountered a problem with the latest version of systray4j: when
the user shuts down Windows, and the JVM tries to exit, our application
hangs and must be killed. We're fairly certain we've localized the
problem to systray4j, which doesn't seem to be removing itself from the
systray and tearing itself down like it should be.

We also tried adding a shutdown hook, which calls
SysTrayMenu.dispose(), but that doesn't help either.

The same problem was described in a post to the sourceforge forums, a
YEAR ago, without any replies. This is a /major/ flaw in the library,
and if it isn't fixed we'll have to abandon it for our project.
