&lt;p&gt;The system management section of syspert allows a system administrator to perform tasks such as accessing remote systems, viewing system processes, backup and encryption, IP configuration, firewall management, and performing network scans&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The many sub-menus available for use are:&lt;br /&gt;
sysproc for viewing system processes (and killing them)&lt;br /&gt;
sysio for viewing system IO statistics&lt;br /&gt;
nmon for viewing advanced system statistics (uses nmon for Linux)&lt;br /&gt;
shell for accessing a root shell&lt;br /&gt;
ssh for connecting to a remote system over ssh&lt;br /&gt;
telnet for connecting to a remote system over telnet&lt;br /&gt;
sshcmd for sending a command to a remote system via ssh&lt;br /&gt;
backup for backup and recovery (uses dump and restore)&lt;br /&gt;
crypt for encrypting and decrypting data&lt;br /&gt;
ifconfig for IP management (goes into separate function)&lt;br /&gt;
firewall for firewall management (goes into separate function)&lt;br /&gt;
nmap for mapping a network&lt;br /&gt;

chadm for changing a user to an administrator&lt;br /&gt;
delete for removing a user from the system&lt;br /&gt;

1) starting-up&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Congratulations on downloading syspert, this walkthrough is the first in many to help you use syspert for the novice and beginner.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;First off, to launch syspert ether type "syspert" at the command line as root (if you run as a normal user you will be denied access and root will be informed) or type "/opt/syspert/bin/syspert" and you will be presented with the main screen, that basically displays the copyright notices and a warning that the program must be run in full screen, and an input request (press enter) (as shown in the screenshot labelled "Syspert start screen"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After you pass said "start screen" you will presented with syspert's main screen which displays the four menus: usrmgmt for user account management&lt;br /&gt;
diskmgmt for disk management&lt;br /&gt;
sysmgmt for system management&lt;br /&gt;
and softmgmt for software mangement  &lt;br /&gt;
