Secure BSD syslog ARCHIVED / News: Recent posts

After a long time of 'nothing', some activity is starting.

For some time now, a (FreeBSD) syslogd, which send signatures is working. Please get en test it.

The files in the CVS repository are correct, NOW .
This cancels the earyier news item!

Syslog-sec[ure] currenly needs developers! And people to use the code.

Both on FreeBSD and other platfoms (the will be added, on request c.q. available developers)

Also, other topic's of secure syslog, like syslog-sign verifiers, and (web) vievers are needed.

A snapshot is available for download. (see download, above). With these sources, for FreeBSD (4.*) you can add signatures into all syslogmessages automatically.

On April 3, 2003 the WRONG files are imported into the CVS Repositiory.

This is corrected today, but it will take a day to become effective.
You can verify the version by directory names:
If you see directories like
.../usr.sbin.syslogd/... it is correct
.../src/usr.sbin/syslogd/... it's WRONG
