[Synfig-user] AVI animation

Hi,

What programs do I need to get AVI output?
 
On my debian linux system, running
synfig -t ffmpg file
just gives broken pipe. Hence I am probably missing some avi creation 
packages. Which ones?

On windows, running
synfing --targets
does not even list animation targets, just still pictures.
