This one has many interesting extensions including a Delphi 2006 editor look and mystix derived code-folding. Unfortunately all comments and resources are in Chinese...

Chinese comments may not be a concern as we can use translation tools. I have used Google Translation and read the page. But, for downloading they ask for login details which I couldn't follow. So, do you have any direct link to their source? TIA

A week ago it was possible to download the file from that site without registration but the author changed his blog software. However I emailed him and he sent me the latest version which you can download from http://pyscripter.googlepages.com/SynEditStudio.rar.
Also I had suggested to the author the following:
* merge the bugfixes from SynMix into his code
* release a version of his code with English resources
* apply his enhancements to the unicode version of Synedit
and he said that he will try and do that.

Thanks for sharing:-)

IMHO, it would be nice if the synedit related works are centralized here. I have seen that the last commit to cvs now dates back to 3 weeks and it seems this renewed work is again drained.
SynEditStudio looks great:) but now and then I see some painting issue. Currently it uses runtime highlighters; but not sure if it can support TSynWeb.
I'm still looking for OptiPerl like box coding support (see, http://www.xarka.com/optiperl/features.html ). If you come across any forks that does it, kindly let me know:-)

Pierre on the other thread http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4120514 informed me the renewed interest in SynEdit.
So, what about merging the other fork/branch efforts:
1. Unicode SynEdit aka UniSynEdit http://mh-nexus.de/unisynedit.htm
2. Improved SynMix (Unicode and CodeFolding) other branch http://sepa.spb.ru/?syn_eng and http://forum.vingrad.ru/topic-106449.html

BTW, some guys seem to gave up the Unicode+Codefolding works (See my discussion at another project TSynWeb http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4138357 )
