I was wondering if there was a Search Dialog existing for the SynEdit control? I found different Search routines (like SearcReplace), however, I couldn't find anything that would prompt the user for text to search with.
I most likely will end up creating this dialog, would it be good to create it as a non-visual component that is linked to a TSynEdit? I.e. would others find this useful?

Why not use the search/replace dialogs that can be found in the 'SearchReplace' example? Just including them in your project and copying some code from the example's main form should be enough, I suppose...

It's a good idea. I saw something similar for TMemo component. It's called TMemoSearch and available with source-code on http://www.torry.net/
